The “Democracy Education for Young People” project is particularly motivated by the idea of the museum as a space for participation: an opportunity for young people to meet in order to increase their democratic competence through discussion, interaction and exploration of different forms of political involvement. By engaging young people to active citizenship, Eidsvoll 1814 aims to share knowledge about how museums can enhance their relevance as committed social agents.
